R v BC, September 2015, Worcester CC 

Emma defended a man accused of a series of historic rapes and sexual assaults upon his step-son and step-grandchildren over a period of 25 years. After a two week trial, the jury acquitted the defendant of all 14 counts on the indictment.

R v ES, October 2015, Gloucester CC 

Emma defended a young man accused of repeated sexually abusing his 7 year-old niece over a 2-3 year period. The defendant was acquitted of the multiple incident and penetration counts, and was convicted of non-penetrative sexual assault on one specific occasion.

R v BM, November 2015, Swansea CC 

Emma defended an Irish national accused of raping a local girl, having met her in a pub earlier that evening. The complainant, who was three months pregnant at the time, claimed that she awoke during the night to find the defendant, next to whom she had fallen asleep, penetrating and then raping her despite her having made it clear all evening that she would not have sex with him. The jury acquitted the defendant of all counts on the indictment.
