PDS Advocacy Unit

The Public Defender Service are seeking to recruit eight experienced criminal Higher Courts Advocates.

As a qualified Barrister or Solicitor-Advocate, you will be passionate about criminal law and have substantial experience in providing advice and representation in the Higher Courts. You will demonstrate advanced advocacy skills in a wide range of complex, serious and sensitive criminal casework. You will be required to have flexibility and be prepared to travel to cover cases across England and Wales when required. A collaborative, team-orientated approach and interest in training and mentoring will be an asset, as this role is part of an effective team who strive for excellence in everything that they do.
