Stuart Duke secures acquittal and grateful client says he has been “given his life back”

Mr A, a 19 year old student , from a decent family and a promising career in medicine ahead of him, foolishly decided to sit in a friend’s car and share a cannabis joint with him.

Shortly afterwards, the police swooped and arrested them both. Recovered from within the vehicle were a large quantity of Class A drugs, cash, and a debtors list.

In due course, his friend pleaded guilty to all counts.

Stuart Duke applied to have the case dismissed and after legal argument, the prosecution had to concede that there was no evidence that Mr A was aware that the drugs were in the vehicle. All charges were subsequently dropped against him.

Mr A was in tears and told his legal representatives that they  had “given him his life back”
