Gary Newbery

Gary Newbery, Solicitor Advocate, PDS Swansea
Gary Newbery, Solicitor Advocate

Gary Newbery qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and was immersed in a busy Valley’s practice with offices throughout what is now Rhondda Cynon Taff.

There was a constant stream of criminal work as it was hallmarked as the largest such practice in the area. It meant that he very quickly became experienced in all aspects of the role of a criminal practitioner and was exposed to significant cases involving large scale drug conspiracies and serious violent offending including murder and armed robbery.

Gary subsequently had his own contract as a sole practitioner for close on 17 years and was a duty solicitor on both the Newcastle & Ogmore Schemes and the Neath Port Talbot Scheme.
