Adam has over 30 years’ experience within the area of criminal defence work as both solicitor and counsel.

Adam has acted as leading counsel on a number of cases including historic sexual abuse and drugs supply, and been junior counsel to silk on a whole host of matters including many murder cases.

Adam was formerly a solicitor to the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1994.

Adam has defended in very high costs cases (VHCC) concerning fraud.

Murder, drugs and serious violence

Adam has acted alone in a number of manslaughter cases against Queen’s Counsel. He has worked on a number of very high cost cases including fraud and organised football hooliganism.

Attempted murder and serious violence. Shooting at vehicle on busy high-street followed by drug related stabbing

R v W and others (Murder)

Murder and firearms conspiracy concerning an alleged gangland drugs related shooting

R v R 2017 (Murder)

Murder case involving serious mental health and causation issues, arising from long term physical and emotional abuse of deceased. This case involved several complex medical considerations relating to causation (organ failure; internal injuries; bone damage and repair).

R v B 2016 (Fraud)

£13 million fraud involving the sale of defective kitchens.

R v S and others 2003 (Fraud)

Major multi-handed nationwide credit card fraud.

R v M and others 2012 (Serious sexual offences)

The Rochdale grooming case. Involving the targeting of vulnerable young children in care.

R v M and others 2009 (Serious sexual offences – People trafficking)

People trafficking/sexual exploitation (leading authority on the policy not to prosecute those who are themselves victims of trafficking).

Drugs importation from The Continent involving jurisdictional issues.
