Notable cases
The defendant was charged with sexual assault, kidnap, false imprisonment and assault by beating. It was alleged that the complainant was dragged into a car, driven to an address and sexually assaulted. The defendant denied seeing the complainant on the relevant day and the defence pursued enquires regarding CCTV and an inspection of the complainant’s mobile phone.
Multi-handed case of kidnapping, having an imitation firearm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, robbery and perverting the course of public justice. The case involved the preparation of an application to dismiss for the count of perverting the course of public justice and the Prosecution offered no evidence. The defendant stood trial on all remaining counts and the case involved a legal argument on bad character.
The defendant was charged with murder in a multi-handed case; appeared as junior for the defendant and conducted cross examination of several civilian witnesses. The case also involved a cutthroat defence, issues of bad character and admissibility.
